Maybe you have tried to talk to a family member or friend, but feel that they are too emotionally involved in your situation or really don’t have an understanding of your problem. All these factors can leave you feeling alone and unhappy, almost as if things will never get better…
I believe that change is always possible. Talking over your problems in a confidential setting with someone who is not closely related or involved can help you gain a deeper insight into your troubles, allowing you to see why they started and how they have developed. I will listen to your life experiences without judgement whilst offering you kindness and support.
This space in your life will allow you to gain insight and a clearer perspective on your situation. It will help you make decisions about the changes you want in your life or enable you to accept or come to terms with those things you cannot change. Once you understand what you would like to achieve, you will feel more positive and hopeful.
During therapy I will use the therapeutic approaches that best suit your individual needs and requirements. The Person Centred approach always provides the foundation for treatment, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy techniques can be introduced to address the role of dysfunctional thought patterns and the resulting behaviour. In therapy I will explain these approaches and how they can help you.
The first step is often the most difficult, I would like to encourage you to take this first step. I will be there to support you through changes, helping you at each stage to overcome your difficulties. This will help you move forward towards a more fulfilling life.
